"Internally the apartment is beautifully designed and very well equipped. Beds were lovely and comfy and the extras such as DVDs, Xbox, tennis racquets were well received by my children! We enjoyed the parks pool, play areas and had a lovely meal in Cedars. Everyone in the park was really friendly. Elizabeth was a great host - helpful before our stay and checked that we were ok during our stay."

"We enjoyed our stay at Liz's apartment. It's clean, modern and was very well equipped for us and our 3 year old. Plus it has the two things which I consider most important when away from home...a very good shower and extremely comfortable beds. We actually remarked that rather than looking forward to our own bed, we would miss the one in the apartment."

"Manderley is such a lovely apartment and the decor and everything in it has been thought out so carefully to suit everyone and to make it really child-friendly, which was ideal with 2 little ones roaming around.  There's lots to do in the area with a choice of beautiful walks and lovely little villages only a short distance away. My daughter's really enjoyed the swimming pool on site and we loved having it to ourselves. Would definitely come and stay again."

"WOW - Where do we start.... the apartment was fabulous. Beautifully decorated throughout - with lovely chandeliers, fluffy towels, comfy sofa, Internet, Xbox, sky, Bluetooth speaker, perfectly equipped and the added bonus of being in a great location and having an on-site heated indoor pool. The kids loved going to the pool each day as it was so close to the apartment and so quiet. On several occasions, we had the pool all to ourselves. There is also a tennis court and restaurant/bar on site. Communication with the host is brilliant and she made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment's location to sights of Cornwall is perfect. The Eden project is just a 10 minute drive away and well worth a visit. We will definitely be back as it's one of the best Airbnb places we have stayed in."

    Great Hosts

"I cannot recommend enough Manderley! Not only was the apartment beautifully laid out but it was just as lovely as the pictures suggested it would be! Liz was amazing - we hit a terrible traffic jam on the way to Pentewan and texted to let her know we would be late. She not only turned lights on so we wouldn't arrive in the dark but let us know about a road closure at 10 pm that evening which was an absolute lifesaver. When we arrived the apartment was immaculate and Liz had even left us tea, coffee, milk and all the ingredients for a Cornish cream tea (a welcome treat after 8 hours on the road!). The apartment is perfectly located, near Mevagissey (a beautiful village with mackerel fishing boats - highly recommended), St Austell and Truro (wonderful café called Art Café and we recommend popping into the Cornish Shop at Waitrose). You're also right next to Heligan (and the amazing farm shop there) and max 15 minutes from the Eden Project. The food available was fantastic and the recommendations Liz and Steve made were spot on. We'll definitely be back and we'll be bringing the rest of the family!"

The Downside

It is really important to us that you have a great time so we believe in letting you know why this break might not suit you.

  • Whilst there is wifi, there is no mobile phone signal. We provide a landline handset for emergencies.
  • This is an apartment in a house that is split into ten homes. Some are residential, some are holiday lets.  Your apartment is in the middle of the house and you may hear your neighbours.
  • The swimming pool and soft play area are only available from Easter to the end of October.

Oh no, you can't put me off! 🙂

Hmm, what have you got?
